Liability and Redress for damage
There was no agreement amongst negotiating partners on the issue of liability and redress for damage resulting from transboundary movement of LMOs. The agreement reached at the close of negotiation of the CPB was for the first Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties (COP-MOP I) to adopt a processes towards elaboration of measures to address the issue.
