Convention on Desertification

The Convention on Desertification was signed by Swaziland in 1992

The objective of the convention is to combat desertification worldwide and mitigate the effects in countries experiencing serious draught and/or desertification, particularly in Africa.

This must be done by effective action at all levels and be supported by international co-operation and partnership arrangements in the framework of integrated approach.
