Chemicals Management

The country does not have a holistic legislation addressing chemicals management. It is one of the recommendations of the National Chemicals Profile that a country has to consider formulating such in order to manage chemicals in a sound manner. Although Swaziland is a party to several conventions that are aimed at achieving sound management of chemicals. These are as follows:

The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants

The Rotterdam Convention of Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Pesticides and other Chemicals in International Trade

The Basel Convention on Trans-boundary Movement of Hazardous Waste
